Michelle, Chazzy and I made a quick hike up Caney Island Branch this afternoon. We were hoping to avoid the rain but we did have a few minutes of liquid sunshine. The birds were active and at one stop we watched Kentucky Warblers, Ovenbirds, Wood Thrush, Red-eyed Vireos, Redstarts, Worm-eating Warblers, and Cardinals in the same group of trees. We also saw Hooded Warblers and heard Black-throated Green Warblers and a Raven along the way.
