Burke's Garden - February 9, 2008

Members and guests of the Buchanan County Bird Club enjoyed a great day of birding Virginia's highest valley. A pair of Bald Eagles, several Golden Eagles, lots of Red-tailed Hawks, and two great looks at Rough-legged Hawks were the highlights of the day. Everyone enjoyed the friendship and fellowship as we birded our way around the valley.

The old pump, the unique leaf, and the incredible light, not to mention the dancers, give the interested folk in Los Angeles, (Marie's niece) a taste of what a day of birding in Burke's Garden is like. Thanks for sharing. I haven't seen the birds yet. Maureen Gilman
