It was a great morning to be out hiking the ridgelines of Kentucky. Just after arriving at the parking lot at Berea Woods we were greeted with the song of both the Yellow-throated Warbler and the Louisiana Waterthrush. Along the trails we found several Pine and Black-and-white Warblers along with Gnatcatchers, a Brown Thrasher, Wild Turkey, a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Phoebes, and our first Broadwing of 2010. Wildflowers were everywhere and several species of butterfly were out to take advantage of them. Spring has finally sprung.
