My mission is to provide you with a virtual pictorial tour of this beautiful and historic city by documenting familiar places,
along with places that have not quite found their way into the Washington, D.C. travel guide.

Gorgeous photos, and even though I too was born in Washington, DC (Columbia hospital for women, since torn down) I never knew many of these statues existed. I am going to spend a few more hours looking over everything, and send your site to my friend, who is very interested in History. So glad I found you! Found you under a search for the George Mason Memorial.

Last year my hubby and I went to Washington DC we had picked up a coloage postcard of the Veterns memorials and I have lost the postcard was wondering if you knew who I could get another post card like that thank you

I love yur pictures last summer my hubby and I went to washington DC and we loved the memorials they had there very touching to us. My hubby is a retired Army man. But last year when we went i bought a postcard that had the Vietnam Veterns memorial, Koren War memorial, WWii memorial and also it had The memorial Plaza these were all on one postcard the memorial plaza was in the middle I think it also had the wall we can not find it and was wondering if you knew how I could get another one, thank you linda

It's funny, I currently live in Maryland (Baltimore County) and have been to DC numerous times but have not yet ventured to some places of interest indicated in your galleries (shame on me!). Thank you VERY much everyone. Dennis: As of two years ago I did not have any images of Washington, D.C. As I met peopel from other regions not only had they been more places in D.C., but they also had more image. I said to myself, "Self! Shame on you!". =) And picked up my camera and have not put it down since.

I lived near D.C. when I was a kid in the early 70's. I loved the school field trips we would take to all the place in D.C. – these photos bring back a lot of memories.

I've never been to Washington in all of my 75 years, but bringing up your web site has been a real visual experience seeing what is important in Washington. I am a Korean War veteran and the picture of the soldier makes me remember that I must have looked like him, sometimes, when I was in Korea. The Korean War Memorial was really captured by you. \Thanks

Hello April... I love all of your Wash DC photos! I lived in Virginia Beach for years and spent six months in Manassas in 2002-2003. DC is one of my favorite places! I have lots of photos from 85-92, but all of my digital shots from 2002-2003 were lost in a hard drive crash. One of my biggest desires is to spend a couple of weeks just photographing DC! Until I can go back again, I'll just refer to your gallery to keep me inspired! This gallery gets all of my votes! JD Anderson
