LINCOLN MEMORIAL

The Lincoln Memorial is dedicated to the memory and in honor of the 16th president of
the United States, Abraham Lincoln.

Inside the Lincoln Memorial is a 19 foot marble statue of Abraham Lincoln sitting in a chair.
On either side of the marble statue are two walls, one with the inscriptions of the Gettysburg
Address and the other wall with Lincoln’s 2nd Inaugural Address.

Every since I was a child in elementary school, and was taught who Abraham Lincoln was and what he stood for, I have been a great admirer of his. The things he did for our country I will never forget, and all the great speeches, and the Emancipation Proclamation. Our country was founded on the integrity of men such as Lincoln. He deserves a memorial and the respect do to him. Abraham Lincoln was my hero and every child that I grew up with, because of every thing he did for my race. He taught me to believe in my self and my family. Abraham Lincoln Rocks! Huntwilliam8 from Virginia.
