The Korean War Veteran Memorial was dedicated on July 27, 1995 by President William J. Clinton and Kim Young Sam, President of the Republic of Korea.
Inside the memorial grounds is a 164 foot polished black granite wall, which is etched with hundreds of photographic images of faces taken from military archives. The wall mirrors the 19 stainless steel soldiers, which depict all branches and ethnic backgrounds of the armed forces. All of the soldiers are wearing ponchos and are equipped for battle (carrying arms and radio equipment) as they move toward the American flag.
I have been to the memorial several times and the following images reflect the different seasons.
