Very impressive photograps of an impressive statue.
I visited Washington several years ago (I'm from The Netherlands) but didn't know it's name. On the search for landmarks on satellite images, I was searching for name and place of this statue.
Unfortunately the statue is not recognizeable on the satellite-images, but your pictures recall the memories of my visit to it.
