There is an occasional stream in the garden, optimistically described in the estate agent's details as "seasonal waterfront". It runs only after heavy rainfall or when the snow is melting : it starts in a flat boggy area in the woods and heads down the hill towards the pool. A previous owner installed pieces of steel drum and car body to contain the stream. The rusty steel is exceptionally ugly but we have no time to address this for a while.
