Ireland - Co.Kerry - Dingle Peninsula - Coumeenole Beach at Slea Head

The Dingle Peninsula is the northernmost of the major peninsulas in County Kerry. From its main town of Dingle, you can undertake the Slea Head Drive. One of the many major highlights of this drive is the fantastic Coumeenole Beach one of my favourite places. Here the views are stunning especially towards the Blasket Islands. In stormy weather too the scenery is spectacular and it was here that one of the most vivid scenes of David Lean's film Ryans Daughter was filmed in the 1970's
