Thank you for recalling my happy memory: It was in the mid 70's, my final year of primary school, maybe only 12 years old. My classmates and I took our first own trip to HK island without our parents. And we followed our teacher's written instruction of getting around the Central area and took the tram to the Peak. It was quite an adventure for us at that age:)))

Tom, what year is this?

The peak in this picture actually still dominates the city below - it's the other way around now, of course. Connaught House is now called Jardine House, it's still the best-looking skyscraper in Central in my opinion.

connaught Square was, at one time, the tallest in the Central District

Victoria Harbour, something I always approach with mixed feelings - love & hate the forever changing skyline!

Today, the lower portion of the hill is blocked by the new development.
