As shown by its name, this model was built as a
Parisian taxi. It earned its moment of glory as well
as the nickname "the taxi of the Marne" on 6 September 1914
when a thousand were requisitioned by General Gallieni,of the garrison
in Paris besieged by the German army, to carry two regiments
to the front and take part in the battle that saved Paris.
