Ya think so?
Guest 23-Apr-2005 19:47
low viewpoint and framing of chap on the left make this for me. great shot.

That's the trick - they are so engrossed you are invisible!
Great shot of a way of life alien to many of us.
Guest 22-Apr-2005 18:01
Wow, what a fine perspective! Fantastic!
Cliff22-Apr-2005 14:47
Your perspective puts us right into the game. Perfect in every way Antonis!
Guest 22-Apr-2005 11:05

too enthralled into the game to even notice you. great everyday lifestyle shooting.

A game I will learn one day..in the meantime this game is good to watch.

As several said, it's as though we get to peek into their world and there's no camera involved at all. I LOVE how they're all looking so intently at that game.
Guest 22-Apr-2005 06:47
Love this, really gives me a sense that I am right there
Adalberto Tiburzi22-Apr-2005 05:55
I like the 2 people, one on the right and one on the left, that frame the image.
As if through a key-hole.
Karen Leaf22-Apr-2005 03:23
The intensitiy grabbed me from the minute I looked. Great shot.

This picture appeals to me on so many levels. The picture is not only technically perfect with great lighting and tones, but it has such a great story. I like how everyone's stance leans in toward the backgammon board, which then pulls you even deeper into the picture. You get a real sense of the comraderie of these men.

Another excellent shot. I'm embarassed to say I don't know how to play backgammon!

Wonderful! Great exposure and lighting. You certainly have a talent for lighting a photograph.
Gayle P. Clement21-Apr-2005 22:11
They are each so intent on what they're doing and seemingly unaware of you. Great job.
Chris21-Apr-2005 21:56
One of your better shots, IMO. It really does seem as if no camera is there and we are just another spectator to the game. On top of that, the photo is crisp, toned just right and perfect in BW
Guest 21-Apr-2005 21:54
I'm always astounded how you seem invisible to the subjects of your photos! Another wonderful atmospheric one!

I never really thought of Backgammon as a “Man’s Game” but I must admit I’ve always loved to play it. Perhaps it’s because of my Italian heritage. LOL!
Guest 21-Apr-2005 20:34
Argh, I am now wondering the outcome!
Guest 21-Apr-2005 20:27
Very good perspective!
Chris Sofopoulos21-Apr-2005 20:27
Aha.. Who wins Antonis? They look so concentrated. Nice shot.
JeremyGood21-Apr-2005 20:14
Wonderful candid shot. Looks like an exciting game, lots of kibutzing.
