Dambusters 70th Anniversary Commemoration, Derwent Reservoir

May 16, 2013 was the 70th Anniversary of Operation Chastise, the attack on the Mohne and Eder Dams by 617 Squadron using bouncing bombs. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, together with two Tornadoes of the current 617 Squadron, flew over the Derwent Reservoir Dam, where the operation was practiced, in commemoration.

Mark - not as far as I know. I think they did one 5 years ago. I don't know what the plans are for the future. I suggest you keep an eye on the BBMF website:http://www.raf.mod.uk/bbmf/

Does anyone know if this event happens every year.When the Lancaster Bomber flys over the Mohne Dam.
