Mimosa Tree Bloom (Silk Tree)

Central Texas

The Mimosa trees are in full bloom here, and they're just beautiful!
I took this photo this evening before the sun got too low in the sky.
We have several of these trees on the property.
They seem like such a damp-tropical plant!
I was surprised to see that the grow well here in Texas.

They look like one of those fiber optic lamp things, don't they? Amazing!

This is my Mom's favorite tree and I remember having them in our yard at the house I grew up in, she would love this picture!

Oh my, I grew up with many Mimosa trees on our farm in Tennessee! They are so easy to climb, and we used to use the leaves for money when we played "gasoline man"....I loved those leaves, and the blooms are wonderful too! So fun to play with! Gosh, what memories...thanks for the beautiful pictures and bringing back fond memories of long ago. . .

Either you're a truly gifted photographer or you live in the most beautiful place! Maybe both? Yes, I think so!

I have many memories of playing under the mimosas out at the ranch where my dad grew up, and this brings them back in a rush! There is one right outside the bedroom where I used to sleep when I'd go stay with Grandma. Love the delicate flowers and the way you've captured them. Beautiful!

We have these in Florida, too, but I never thought that close up would be so gorgeous.
