Amarapura ( Mandalay )

Amarapura
Situated about 11 km south of Mandalay, Amarapura is one of the capitals of the third Myanmar Empire.
U Bein's Bridge was built of teak from a palace that was deserted when the capital shifted from Ava to Amarapura. At 1.2 km long, it is said to be the longest wooden bridge in the world, or at least the longest one made of teak.

It spans Taungthaman Lake

Nice to see it in a different light. Well composed, and yes, a difficult light, and you have exposed it well.

The longest in the world. Thanks for sharing the explanation, Anna.
Tough exposure but wonderfully handled ... what a mood & details. VV
