Angus

Thanks for visiting my Rocky Mountains gallery. I have spent the last hour browsing through your galleries - you have quite varied adventures. I also enjoyed your Ama Dablam updates last year. There were a number of climbers on the ice when I shot the Lake Louise Icefall - it looked like a great climb. I look forward to more of your adventures.

Re-paid the compliment and had a good look through your Ama Dablam pictures - some fabulous stuff and some which brought back a lot of memories for me too. Great stuff!

Thanks for visiting mine, but hey, Kili was a pony ride compared to the stuff you've done. The Bolivian climb looks breathtaking and you all had a ton of guts to walk those ridges to the top. A heartfelt congrats! Very inspiring stuff. If you have time would love to know how long it took to summit in Bolivia, from the start.

Some very nice images here Angus.

Also like your style sheets, something I'm a bit inept about with Pbase!

:)

All the best and greetings to Scotland which is a beautiful country I'd like to visit more often!

Hi Angus

Thanks for visiting my galleries - very much appreciated your comments!
Your work is quite stunning (even if I think you are a bit nuts for climbing that far up and down big hills) and inspiring.

Cheers

I have heard the controversy surrounding Dean Potter and his climb. I love rock climbing and I love Moab’s beauty. I personally would not have done it, but I do not feel Dean did anything wrong. He broke no rules and he did no damage, but it would not be America if people could not complain about there views and opinions.

It rocks indeed. What a fantastic layout and presentation. This is definitely one of the very best that I have seen. I'll probably need to get some pointers from you shortly to see how you managed to achieve this. I do wonder where the "Vote for" option has gone on the main page. This one deserves more than just my vote.

Hi! Thanks for all your nice comments on my pics. I was also impressed with your gallerys!!! My photo with the stars and moon over the beach was acually a combintaion of that beach and then the morning stars from 45 min before at a beach nearby. It's an urealistic blue tone because I accidently had my camera on a setting for floresent indoor light, oops!

Hi Angus, glad you liked the Tioman gallery. I'm sure you'd see a lot more change in Singapore than in Tioman since the mid 80s! Enjoyed my trip round your galleries too.

Dear Angus, I am completely "blown away" by not only your great photographic ability and sense of design, but also by the great variety of places you have been... Let me see, Paris, Kathmandu, Everest, Bolivia (loved the shot of the Tuni Store)... Nice shots of your kids, and also the kids in Nepal... Very glad I came across your galleries. This has been a pleasure... Best regards, Donald Kinney

thanks Audra, I appreciate your kind words. I must say that if you call yourself a relative novice then I have a long way to go myself! most of mine are just luck - being in the right place at the right time. I'd like to have a crack at Whitney myself sometime. Been up to Bishop on a couple of occasions on the way to Mammoth - I have a sister in law who lives in Manhattan Beach so come across every now and then. Another favourite place is Joshua Tree - been there? So much climbing to be done, so many countries to see!
audra baecker 19-Jan-2005 23:04
WOW! Your climbing gallery is great, I think I was holding my breath the whole time.
My husband and I climb a bit, but nothing like you and your family. We did Mt. Whitney in July.......but on foot, 14 Hours to the top and down, which is very impressive for hikers, but sadly I think we will probably never be experienced enough climbers to climb it! Your gallery has inspired me to get out there and climb, Thanks for sharing! Audra, San Diego, CA
