Michael and I traveled to Europe in September 2004 to visit his parents in Vienna, Austria. While there, we all drove to Wachau, a small town in northern Austria along the Danube. The town is surrounded by beautiful, lush vineyards. From Vienna, we traveled to Velden in southern Austria (Carinthia) to visit Michael's friend, Dominik, and his wife Gudrun. We enjoyed two days of complete relaxation (and fantastic food!). Our next destination was a cozy resort/spa in Zavelstein, Germany, just outside of the Black Forest. Michael's friends from Frankfurt, Fred and Elisabeth, joined us there. Fortunately, we were able to see the nearby town of Tubingen, a small college town, before leaving Zavelstein. We enjoyed our final few days in Europe sightseeing in Stuttgart and Sindelfingen.
