I have passion for photography when I was out their in the snow, but I don't know about this woman, how did she feel? But I believe there must be something in her heart supporting her going through this hardship....
I've never commented on this image before, Jen, because I really did not notice the miserable conditions when I saw it in sepia. Your color toned picture was warm and inviting to the eye, which was exactly the opposite of what this picture really says -- cold, harsh, and miserable weather, yet this person is stil out there in it, tryiing to make a living. I can actually see the driving snow now. I never noticed it in sepia. This has instantly become one of your strongest images to me now that I can see and feel the misery of the moment. (And think, too, of frozen Jen, her fingers sticking to the shutter button!) I missed it all in sepia! Amazing difference in meaning, isn't it?
