I could not tell if this was a painting or photograph but it is very stunning although I am not familiar with this particular park I think maybe one day I will go to see it just from this picture.

Everything in this picture complements itself. Blue in the upper part, yello at the bottom. White in the upper and black at the bottom, yet, the composition is so fluent that it doesen't cut the flow of the reading. Like a zig zag the eye flows in this scene like a free bird preparing to fly in this magnificent scenary. Anybody could have seen this scenaray but few would have been able to capture its essence. Very well done.

I love your photos. I've hiked up there many, many times, and this photo does justice to the view and the feeling you get from being at the top of a mountain, though the sky never looked so dramatic any time I was there. To those that asked, I'll vouch that that is actually the colour of the water. I think it is silt from the river that flows into the Howe Sound. (The plant Leo mentioned is a wood pulp plant, I think, but I don't think it causes the colour.)

I believe those greenish-yellow color of the water is resulted from mud and sand in it. Nearby is a factory of some sort, as I recall. This shot was taken near the end of the golf, a small river was connecting it, those mud must came through the river.

****This image is utterly surreal, Jen. Either your camera recorded it in otherworldly color, or added a layer of meaning through post processing. It tells a story to me -- the water seems dead, the land deserted. It is as if the earth has been devastated yet the skies overhead still live. You did not split the frame in half as so many photographers do--- you fill the frame with surging clouds and blue/black sky, and anchor it at the bottom with the sick world. Bravo, Jen!

I love this photo too, and it's the real scence, it brought back my memery on that day, when we clambed up to the top of the Chief-mount, there was this spectacular view, especially after all the hard work clambing for it.

I love this picture, even as a thumbnail it looks incredible. Has it been retouched at all or was this a genuine view?
