*** These are unedited shots from my flash-on-camera lighting seminar. The "too light" & "too dark" shots are not mistakes, they are the exposures the camera / flash chose in TTL. I was demonstrating how to modify the light for a better exposure. The "better looking" shots without the harsh shadows are examples of how to soften hot-shoe flash.
• MacGyver Factor: The beautiful "pink" light is an old Nikon flash shone through a CD jewel case, with the key light being a Nikon SB 800 bounced off foam core. The snoot effect on the mannequin head is a Nikon SB 800 shooting through a Black & Decker leaf blower attachment.
• As with all my classes, some of these photos are showing how NOT to do things. Hopefully these photos are obvious!

I thought this class was excellent. I learned a ton about how to use my flash on and off my camera. I would highly recommend this to a friend and will see you at your next class. Thanks!
