For one thing I shouldn't have been at 10.8mm but at the widest 7mm for best depth of field to catch more in focus when physically that close, and in this case the lack of manual focus had the Elph deciding to focus most on the hair of the stalk. Things I'll have to remember when there are lots of things to focus on
