Glad you enjoyed it. We happened upon it by chance, and had no idea about
St. Nicholas and his history, but it was one of my favorite churches visited.

thought while there, wondering how it all looked during its time. Churches are often built
with pride and care, but the unusally rich mosaic-tile detailing was amazing to see.
One of the most beautiful churches I've entered. Glad you enjoyed it too, this way.

Excellent photos. I felt as if I were there. The beauty of the stone and craftsmanship are astounding. The colors are fantastic. I can only imagine what it looked like "in the day".
