My destination in Vietnam was Sapa and Hanoi.

Sapa is an incredibly picturesque village that lies on the Hoang Lien Son mountain range near the Chinese border in North West Vietnam. You can see many hill tribe people, their villages, rice terraces, lush vegetation, and Mt. Fansipan which is the highest peak in Vietnam.
I took a train from Hanoi to Lao Cai, then caught a minibus at the train station to Sapa.

Hanoi personifies the spirit of historic Vietnam in the temples, monuments and pockets of ancient culture along the narrow streets of the Old Quarter, yet perfectly reflects the rapid changes sweeping the country as Hanoian yuppies sip cappucinos in roadside cafés and compare cell phones. Motorcycles are abundant on the street, therefore the pollution is high and crossing the streets require a bit of guts. Crossing the streets in Hanoi reminds me of the game 'Frogger'. I had the best beef noodle here.

I will go to Sapa again to capture other hilltribe minorities and visit the the markets there.
