A moment after this image was taken this man was nearly swept off the quay at Children's Beach by the on-coming wave.
He saved himself by hanging on to the railing. I don't think his camera fared too well.
People underestimate the power of the waves. They were very irregular last Sunday.
Twenty minutes earlier a man and a child were swept off of the Rocks at Birch Park. They were saved. See it here:
