The Star of India

The world's oldest active ship. She began her life on the stocks at Ramsey Shipyard in the Isle of Man in 1863.
She had a varied career which included 21 circumnavigations of the world carrying emigrants from England to New Zealand.
Now part of the Maritime Museum of San Diego and well preserved, she has become a symbol of San Diego.
As a long time member and volunteer photographer of the Maritime Museum I'm aboard fairly frequently. She is my favorite ship.
