Cold Medicine

I've been fighting a cold for days, tenuously keeping an upper hand over the dreaded illness, enemy of outdoor photographers.
Today I upped the ante, by deciding to exorcise the cold by having a large bowl of Hot Steaming Pho Tai for breakfast.
This is Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup with thinly sliced raw steak which cooks in the hot broth.
Add to this plenty of toppings: Marinated Onion, Thai Basil, Lime Juice, Serrano Chillies and Sri Racha Sauce, and that is enough to take care of any sinus problem imaginable.
Had to have some egg rolls with fish sauce and a refreshing glass of unsweetened iced Jasmine Tea too.
Forget all other cold remedies. This really works. Trust me, I've been having Pho for over 25 years.

Great shot, hope you are well by now!

I don't think even I could eat all that in one sitting and with a cold I'd probably eat two bites and be done. Hope you feel better.

a pho-tai-graphic broth seemingly bursting with goodness...cold bugs abound in Vancouver this year, and have been fending them all off with homemade stews and Irish whiskey...so far so good..

I just had Pho for the first time last week. It was pretty good and I got the same kind you did. It was great!

Walter , I did not know you like our traditional Pho Tai , and also spring rolls .
Indeed , these are the best medicine for cold at all time .
Next time when I stop by San Diego , take me there , will you ?

One of my favorite lunches, sans eggrolls... but I've not tried it for breakfast. I do make a vegetable soup with soy beans and asparagus that I love for breakfast, though. Very nice still life, Walter. I hope you feel better soon. V
