A view of the bridge now spanning the empty partially filled in moat. The bridge was added in place of a drawbridge.
In the background the unusual five sided defense tower dating from the 13th Century. The original entrance, now filled in, can be seen where the double windows are.
The tower originally contained a prison in the basement, and above that a chapel and defenses. The top story now empty, was added in the 16tth Century.
