Taylor Guitar Factory, El Cajon, California

On the right luthiers are gluing and clamping matched Guitar Tops together by hand.
On the left a computerized laser saw cuts the glued pieces to the familiar hourglass shape.
This clearly shows that some work processes have to be done by hand, while others can be done by computer.
Thanks to the friendly folks at Taylor Guitars for giving 19 members of our photo group the opportunity to visit today,
and to Jerry for a friendly and informative tour, and for all the cool photo-ops.

A fine candid that tells a story. Very interesting how the guitars are made, both by hand and with automated processes. V
