Well, actually this pedestrian bridge crosses Harbor Drive connecting the Waterfront with the East Village.
It only opened last month. At 550 feet, the bridge is one of the longest self-anchored pedestrian suspension bridges in the world.
The bridge was constructed at a cost of $26.8 million, $11.1 million of which came from private donations.
