The Fake and The Real

The derelict and abandoned Steam-wheeler Restaurant Reuben E. Lee and the San Diego Skyline.
Built in 1969 the Reuben E. Lee is actually a Restaurant built on a barge and has no engine and has never left its berth.
Abandoned several times in its history, it has one of the best views of the very real and vibrant skyline of San Diego.
Its future fate is unknown, at least to me.

It seems like a spot like that would do a banner business. Very pretty light and such a wonderful view. ~V~

Ce bateau à vapeur est splendide sur ce fond urbain! V

Such a pretty paddleboat! The restaurant business is tough; but these types of dining establishments are usually pretty to look at but frequently serve lousy food.

Some places just never seem to do but it's surprising with a location like
that. Makes for a very fine image.

I know the spot well, a least for a few minutes in a morning sunrise shoot. Looks so different under full light.

We used to go there to listen to music in the 80's.
