The Life Aquatic
I spent a while at Birch Aquarium, in La Jolla this morning trying to get a good shot of this colorful fish.
Unfortunately the tank was dark and the fish was in constant motion.
Even worse, there was no description of what kind it is.
I did have a very nice time watching it.

1/250s f/1.8 at 50.0mm iso3200 full exif

Wonderful colours, and I agree! Trying to shoot fast moving fish in a confined space is very difficult. You did well on this one.

It's some type of puffer... not quite a white spotted puffer... not quite a zebra. More a cross of sorts. Maybe someone will eventually identify it.

a delightful specimen...perhaps it's a yellow-finned, yellow-mouthed, blue-eyed meshfish...full-bodied yet somehow graceful...the tail is a bit like a lotus bud too...V
