Good one.

I'm frankly surprised that the City owns a machine like that - isn't that what paving contractors are for. And judging from the crappy streets in my area the thing just rides around on the semi and never gets dirty... LOL
Guest 15-Aug-2009 01:36
What a clean one, over here they are all dirty! :(
Dave Perez14-Aug-2009 23:22
Another great entry Walter! Why is this machine so clean? Anything that touches the road here is covered with soot ...including your vehicle! Nice find!
Linda Willets14-Aug-2009 23:03
A big monster for sure.
Cindi Smith14-Aug-2009 22:51
Nice find and shot. Doesn't look like it is too smokey where you are!

beautifuk machin in machine, like the dolls.
Doug Cruden14-Aug-2009 20:21
It's a bit like a huge big razor blade thingy, skimming the bad boy stubble off the road before a nice new fresh layer of tar is laid...great shot, Walter - spooky, but I past one of these in operation this afternoon, but couldn't stop to take a shot (too much traffic behind me)

Looks like a real monster!
Bernard Davis14-Aug-2009 17:23
Cold Planer in the UK, although they actually do use some heat to soften the surface before remove a centimetre or two.
Nice catch.

Interesting but it is not working on the road but getting a free ride.. :^)
Laryl14-Aug-2009 15:37
