Fantastic photos of, what is a very interesting boat. Love to see it when crewed and underway. I served in USN and spent a couple of weeks on one of our diesel boats in the early 60's. That two weeks convinced me that my career of aviation was well chosen. I now plan to visit this one in San Diego as am staying here now with one of my sons. Would love to communicate with anyone that served in the Soviet Submarines and trade stories. My stories are aviation related as am fully rated pilot (Airline Transport Rating, Helicopter and Fixed Wing along with Glider. arche697@gmail.com Name is "Cliff"

This is the control room. The periscope normally could not be accessed at this level, the periscope well has been cut open to permit access. The ladder in the background leads to the conning tower or periscope viewing compartment above. you may access the bridge via another ladder up there. The conning tower is not open for visiting for safety reasons.
