The impetus for this photoshoot, nearly three years after our last collaboration, and five years since our earlier visit, is the impending doom of these impossibly long black locks of hair, scheduled for separation on July 8th. Most of these photos were taken with a 2mp digital - many more were taken with a 5mp digital, some of which I've resized below.

The background to this story is that Mei has grown her hair this long so that she could give it to her professor of Chinese opera, as a gift, showing her appreciation for his kindness and wisdom. Before the hair is shorn, we agreed to find time to show off these lovely long locks one last time.
