Any time of year is a great time to revisit the ancient Japanese former capital city of Kyoto, but its especially pretty in the autumn, when fall foliage sharply accentuates the classic architecture of old castles, temples and shrines. On this visit, we went to Nijo Castle, the shoguns crib while in town to watch over the Emperor.
