A marvel, not so much of technology, but of archeology. You dig a hole in Rome, you FIND something, always. This is the great surprise to the knowledgeable visitor about Rome's vast, long history - "wow, there's a metro system?!" Some trains rival the worst of New York's in putrescent graffitiness, while newer train cars are clean and bright. Not that you'll see any of the train cars here - I neglected to shoot them. I give you...the station closest to our home base, Re di Roma, on the Metro A Line.
