My hometown, a huge, noisy, busy, tough place. Natives are proud, but most of them, those of us who are struggling middle class, look forward to leaving. I did, 20 years ago, but come back at least once a month for family. And an occassional foray into Manhattan to soak up all that electricity. And yes, some of these photos pre-date 911, so you'll see what has been destroyed by Al Qaida and what has been otherwise censored out by the mindless Matrixed hordes intent on removing the Twin Towers from all documentation.
