No matter how jaded, gung-ho, libertarian, neo-con or liberal you may be, a visit to the USS Arizona Memorial is humbling, sombre, sober, moving.

Most surprising to me was that the Memorial is exceptionally open air - there are the obvious open portals on the famous side profile of the Memorial, but astoundingly open sky greats you when you look up at the elegant and nearly non-existent roof overhead.
