To "Guest" below - The news that the occupation has been over for many years will come as fantastic news to Palestinians, but unfortunately i think youll find youre talking rubbish. So there are no Israeli soldiers, checkpoints and walls inside the West Bank controlling everything Palestinians do??? And as for Gaza - Israeli soldiers may have left but Israel controls every single border and operates as prison guard for the worlds largest prison. If thats not occupation i dont know what is. The fact is that Israel's occupation is tighter than ever. The PA has an impossible job trying to rule a "state" whose entire economy and infrastructure is controlled by an occupying, hostile power. How on earth can Palestinians build a nation when they cant even travel freely from town to town, when their crops and homes are destroyed by Israeli bulldozers and the wall, when schools are closed down at will by an occupying army. I could go on. But youre right that corrupt leaders have destroyed Palestine as well - and the Palestinians did very much demonstrate against that. Thats the overriding reason why they elected Hamas. As for "When will people stop excusing and justifying mass murder?" Why dont you tell me? Far more Palestinians have been murdered than Israelis. And far far more Palestinian children have been murdered than their Israeli counterparts. To say Israel has no control over governing Palestinians shows your level of naievety and ignorance i'm afraid. Does Palestine even have any borders? No- theyre all controlled by Israel. Find me another "independent land" in the world that doesnt even control its own borders. The occupation is stronger than ever - just in a more sophisticated form

I honestly don't believe that the Palestenians are the only victims.. I am sure that the Jews also suffered some losses.. However, there is a significant difference. The Palestinians are only fighting an occupations.. Indeed, the Israeli occupier is ruthless and has no morals.. history (as we learnt in Europe) shows, beyond reasonable doubt, that the jews embedded themselves in a land that does not belong to them. They simply stole the Palestinians' land and called it 'Israel'. Then they went on ravaging the Palestinian people. It was convenient for some European governments, headed by Britain, at the that time to help the jews get settled some where else. I have to say, they might have done us a favour, but at the same time, they are responsible for what happens to the Palestinians today. My comment on these photos is, what the hell are the jews doing on a land like Palestine..?! Ahem... Israel has not occupied the West Bank or Gaza for many years now. They are governed by the Palestinian Authority. If the Palestinians want prosperity, they simply have to work toward it. Instead, they are too busy trying to destroy Israel to have time left over to actually build a nation. Some questions: Why don't people protest the fact that the Palestinian Authority provides NO social services to its suffering people? Why don't people protest when corrupt Palestinian leaders pocket for themselves the hundreds of millions of dollars given to it by the U.N. instead of using it to create an infrastructure for economic development? When will people stop excusing and justifying mass murder? It is NEVER acceptable. How long will Palestinians continue to blame Israel for its problems, even though Israel has nothing to do with governing the Palestinians? (My guess is forever.)

thanks for representing us! this is a great gallery to show the people who are the people who are treated with unfairness. i'm amanda, a 13 year old, grew up to be a poet, wrote poems about other kids as a way to try and reach out for the world. i wrote mostly while our houses were being bombed and our brothers being taken into prisons, draged in the middle of the night. i do not blame anyone who says it is our fault and that this is not palestinian land but israeli land. because i know it is not heir fault but their society and government, i just wish they were here when the nativity church was put under sige, we call it the 40 day siege, when we couldn't go to school and everything was shut down and israel was attacking the church!! but amazingle international media netwroks showed it as it was us who were atacking the church such as "CNN" and "BBC" and other big networks. and that "guest" who says israel is occupied by palestine, i think maybe u need to take a look around you and see who has the guns and the big houses. the clean streets and the soldiers. we have our camps and our ignorance but we have one thing you don't. we have the right, we are the truth and no matter what happends, we hold our heas high and never give up fighting for our freedom. i'm sorry if i had a long reply but i thought i needed to say somethings that were not said
