Welcome to the Jungle

When I left the USA 2 years ago it was with the intent to live and teach yoga at Kapievi,a Centro Cultural Ecológico in the Peruvian Amazon. Kapievi is located in Puerto Maldonado, the Departemento (State) of Madre de Dios (Mother of God). As it turned out I settled quit nicely in Cusco, and opened the FreeSpirit Peru Yoga Studio. In December I had the opportunity to move to Kapievi and it was a difficult decision. There is no comparison between Cusco and Puerto, its like comparing apples and oranges. On February 1, 2011 I moved to Kapievi, but for a 3 to 4 month test period. While my friend rents my apartment in Cusco I will be living in Cabana Sol, shown below. I will be teaching yoga, and be able to work with plants again. If I like living in the Amazon then in May I will return to Cusco, pack my stuff, and move all my things to Kapievi. We shall see...........

The 8 foot snake is Drymarchon corais. Super close relative of the Drymarchon couperi I keep. The common name is the yellow tailed cribo.
