NYMANS GARDENS GALLERY

The house at Nymans Gardens, just outside the village of Handcross, was built in the the late 1800's.
In 1947 most of the house was tragically destroyed by fire. The surviving rooms were still used up until 1953 when Nymans became one of the first gardens to be transferred to the National Trust. The house ruins remain as a romantic background for the beautiful gardens and woodland, and the remaining rooms are open to the public. The gardens and woodland cover approximately 30 acres
