'BRUGES MATINS' STATUE

Flanders Belgium

Erected in the Markt in 1887 to commemorate the famous victory of the Bruges Matins massacre during the Flemish rebellion against France in 1302. Depicted are the two local heroes of this event..... a weaver and a butcher.
