ST VITUS'S CATHEDRAL - WESTERN FACADE

Prague Castle - Czech Republic

Building of the cathedral, in the Third Courtyard, commenced in the 14th century. After 100 years it was stopped due to the Hussite Wars. Very little was done after that until completion, based on original plans, took place between 1860 - 1929.
This Neo-Gothic facade, with its Rose Window 30 ft centrepiece, dates from the last completion period
