Thank you so much for sharing your photos. I lived there from 1985 thru 1989 and loved every minute of it. Looking at your photos really took me back there. It made me home sick tho. I lived on the Traben side just a block off the river, not far from the park. With my basket on my arm, I would go down to the bakery(did you ever see so many bakeries in such short distances from each other!?) and the shop on the corner of the square for fresh flowers and carrots from a barrel that still had dirt on them. The fresh baked bread, the cobblestone streets, the beautiful flowers every where,... what memories!!! I had a very similar view from my bedroom on the third floor of my home, as you did from the hotel where you stayed.I picked grapes off that hillside! I hiked up to those ruins on a regular basis! Oh how I miss the place! It is wonderful to see such good pictures of it, as my camera was not a very good one in 1985. Thank you again for sharing these.
