The Council Building on the promenade of Lake Constance. The massive stone building originally dates from 1388, and served for almost 500 years as a traders' store for merchandise at the harbour. It has been renovated, and well preserved, over the last two centuries, and since 1912 to date has been used as a restaurant, concert hall and conference centre.
