Gateway at the corner of the old Kitchen Garden wall of St Joseph's Dominican Convent. A Grade II Listed structure set in the stone wall of the garden, it is an elaborate wooden Moorish doorway comprising a door of 32 panels, each containing a rose.
The convent was originally the Rectory, known as The Abbey, built in gothic style in the 1870s, and became a convent and boarding school in 1953, which closed in 1999, and has now been converted into flats.
