The Church of St Mary.
There was a Norman church here, mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book, part of which is still part of the present building. The church has been enlarged over the centuries, the last major rebuilding being in 1873 and 1876. The tower was struck by lightning in 1731 and despite repairs, the remainder fell in 1746, destroying some of the nave. The tower was rebuilt in 1754.
