An attractive 11th century Saxon centerpiece to the tiny village. The church is recorded in the Domesday Book, when the village was named as 'Stoches'. It has a thin western tower which was built in the 13th century and carries a tall 19th century shingled spire. There is one bell dated 1657 and the porch is 13th century. Though much renewed in the mid 19th century, the church retains its spacious late 11th century proportions. It is a Grade I listed building. Services are held once or twice a month.
