A Georgian coaching inn, built in 1783 by the 10th Duke of Norfolk. The gated archway leads into the former stable yard. It also became the local meeting place, and to this day the Arundel Society for the Prosecution of Thieves and Felons still hold their annual dinner at this hotel - a tradition which dates back to the 18th century.
