ST MARY MAGDALENE CHURCH

Lyminster - West Sussex

The origins of St Mary Magdalene Church at Lyminster, near Arundel, were in the 10th century when it was a church as well as a Saxon Nunnery.
The present walls of the Church date from about 1040. The Nave was the Parish Church and the Chancel was originally the Nuns Church.
It has been said that a ghostly nun haunts the church.
